about

In "A MANO Y A MÁQUINA [The human-computer interaction]" we can find different kinds of music, all of them instrumental.

The first section of this demo consists of seven guitar songs, recorded at home and arranged with some digital strings, trying to be easy-listening.

Then, we move to a piano section (songs 8 to 16), in which every note was keyboard-typed, as I admit not knowing how to play the piano. This part includes some complex passages and rich harmony, mainly influenced by some of my favourite composers, Philip Glass and Wim Mertens (just listen to "Thank you, Mr Mertens" to feel the influence).

The third section (songs 17 to 22) is dedicated to electronic and techno music, where the rhythm takes the leading role and there are some catchy melodies. My two favourite ones are "Ramanujan" and "Sydenham".

The fourth section (songs 23 to 25) is experimental, chiefly based on percussion. In fact, in "Tribal works" I used any kind of drum or bongo that I could get my hands on.

In the fifth section (songs 26 to 28), three heavy-rock songs (the "alpine trilogy") with powerful riffs, a vibrant low bass and melodies with shades of sorrow try to give a dramatic ending.

Finally, an emotive "farewell" (with the same guitar arpeggio as "the beginning") to close the album.
